Grace Hanna is a student Emmy and DGA winner known for blending genre filmmaking with rich world-building and finding magic in the mundane. They craft bold, genre-driven stories with heart, weaving visceral storytelling with world-building that lingers.
Grace’s films have screened at Academy-qualifying festivals worldwide—AFI Fest, LAAPFF, FilmQuest, OXIFF, and Indy Shorts, where they won the Directorial Debut Award. Their work has been backed by Imagine Entertainment, The Film Zone, and Adobe through the From Minutes to Movies Shortfest.
Their latest project, Halcyon Days, is sponsored by Film Independent and received Panavision's NFP Grant. Grace is a member of Gold House Creator Network and the Alliance of Women Directors. Their work has been shortlisted by Disney, Sundance Sloan, and Sony.
Grace is also a Loreen Arbus Focus on Disability Scholarship recipient for Lola, a film that captures a young girl’s experience navigating her grandmother’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis with tenderness and imagination.
